Tag Mehir Samasar, born Han Samasar, defeated the tyrant Nemiro and united the Dozen Kingdoms, founding the reckoning of time itself. Kanan the Ferocious ended the era of the Six Generals and founded Dar Mehir, ruling from Kanana for nearly a thousand sunrounds. Fadel of Dar Mehir renounced his crown to found the Covenant of the Jud. Salar the Pious, wise and devoted to the sciences, built Salarad and wrote the Pentalogue, before hiding it away.

Vedar, Salar's own grandson, was led astray by Nakier and founded the worship of the Shawaf, declaring Salarad independent. Tag Sadaq, last Tag of Dar Mehir, purged Salarad and buried it beneath the sands. Generations later, Qehar the Desecrator, of the exiled Fa₭ier line, stormed Kanana and burned the survivors of Shama in the Trench, the atrocity that nearly broke Mehirea. Salman Al Mansour, Qehar's fiercest commander, built Mansoureya on the ashes of Dar Safwan.

After sixty sunrounds of war, Samy Samasar, a boy survivor of the Trench turned battle-hardened leader of the Descent's rebellion, and Tag Hidar Ben Bashar, a young man of the Ascent who loved peace above conquest, reached across the divide neither of their fathers could cross. What they achieved together became the Accords of Mehirea Peace Treaty, known ever after among the people as the Pact of Sand and Blood, for it was sealed with sand carried from both the Ascent and the Descent, bound together in wax as one. The Accords were signed by Samy, Hidar, Irfan Al Mansour, and a young Ħafez Samasar, present that day as a boy who would himself one day lead Dar Samasar. The treaty ended the Sand Wars and set the shape of the Crowndom that endures to this day: ruled by a Fa₭ier, guided by a Mansour, protected by a Samasar.

Tag Hidar built Darasilm, the Dome of Peace, on the very ground where the last battle was fought. The Pact of Sand and Blood, sealed in sand and wax, remains the physical token of the Accords, sand from both the Ascent and the Descent, bound together.
