Seat of the Tag, heart of the Crowndom, and the ground on which Book One unfolds.
Mehirea is the ruling kingdom of the Crowndom of Sands — the seat from which Mehir the Unifier first bound the Dozen Kingdoms together as Wassetrad. Its throne, the Cobrathrone, sits in Daratag, the royal palace built in the capital, Kanana. Mehirea is home to the saga's central Dars — Samasar, Mansour, and Fa₭ier among them — and its internal geography splits into two great regions: the Ascent and the Descent.
Ruler: The Tag
Seat: Daratag, Kanana
Realm: Wasset
Regions: The Ascent (9 provinces) & The Descent (12 provinces)
Major Dars: Samasar, Mansour, Fa₭ier, Barathen, Kahlan, Sattar, and more
Mehirea rose to prominence under Mehir the Unifier, who bound the Dozen Kingdoms under one crown, one language, one religion, and one coin. See the Seminary Archives for the full historical timeline — the Strife, the Golden Age, the Sundering, and the Sand Wars all run through Mehirea's throne.
